Fattening Farms

The fattening phase is the last step in the production journey. Here animals will reach their full development from a nutritional point of view. However, to do this we must overcome many obstructions that will be faced, especially those within the environmental conditions. In this phase, optimizing the housing facility will in turn allows us to significantly increase the animals’ weight that is ultimately the goal, which improves the profitability of the farm. For many farms this is done through forced ventilation, as opposed to traditional natural ventilation. Forced ventilation together with cooling systems that control the temperature inside the building which will encourage the animals to feed even in the warm months. They then do not waste energy on environmental impacts such as heat stress. In this way, fattening is optimised and the time period and duration of this phase could even be reduced while the feed supply, the feed conversion rate and consumption is all improved, which is of great importance in fattening farms.
